And that’s why Papamichael and director James Mangold are moving on to other projects
At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan shook up the folk music scene by going electric and singing rock as the voice of a generation — defining one of the most transformative moments in 20th-century music. According to an October 2020 Collider interview with cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, the Bob Dylan film project will be put on hold due to the recently announced COVID precautions being taken by studios.
Our next project is actually Indiana Jones 5 (2022)
"I don’t think he’s dead," Papamichael said of the Chalamet-led biopic, “But it’s hard to pull it off in the COVID era because it’s all set in small clubs with a lot of extras in period costumes, so you’ve got a lot of hair and makeup. Mangold is doing that.” I haven’t seen the movie “As a Complete Stranger” yet.
For me, this is the most anticipated new movie or series since the Beatles “Return” miniseries debuted on Disney+ a few years ago
I’ve seen various movie trailers multiple times and I’ve seen multiple appearances on late-night American talk shows promoting the movie by its stars like Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning. When I saw the trailers for this movie, it’s amazing how well Timothée Chalamet sounds and performs live just like Bob Dylan!
It’s fantastic to hear these Dylan songs from 50 years ago reproduced in 2024!
I can’t wait to hear this music at the state-of-the-art Silverspot Cinema on December 25th! As soon as I see the full 2 1/2 hour movie, I’ll give it a review here on IMDb.
