Narrative
In the Norwegian wilderness, a family seeks a wild free existence but a tragic turn of events shatters their isolation, forcing them to adapt to the demands of contemporary society..
Filmmaker Silje Evensmo does a great job documenting the Jacobsen family’s journey
A sweet and tender observation of a Norwegian family living in the wilderness and dealing with grief, wilderness life and growing up in the social world, with emotional interviews and conversations with key participants.
I can’t imagine how hard it must be to leave a home because of a tragedy
Every child was really sweet and adorable to observe and I felt really bad for the whole family.
The film also has beautiful looking cinematography and it shows just how beautiful Norway is
Although some of the pacing could be improved, I thoroughly enjoyed and related to this documentary.
It’s like Captain Fantastic but with more impact
One of my favorite documentaries of the festival.
