The little bits of background were refreshing, but very rare
Parlophone Records Limited Music Group Germany Holding GmbH, a Warner Music Group company. I really don’t understand why the filmmaker chose to focus about 90% of this film on the last week of the title character’s life. Jolie, as Maria Callas, is stone-faced, wooden and gloomy, spending most of her screen time running around Paris.
However, overall the film is very disappointing
Some positives:> I enjoyed the musical selections. I downloaded the album and have listened to all the pieces repeatedly.> The costumes and visuals are quite beautiful.> Of all the characters, the butler and the maid were the most striking on screen. “One Hundred Years of Solitude”; is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
