Willem Dafoe, who plays Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz, previously played the fictional vampire Max Schreck in The Vampire’s Shadow (2000), an apparent remake and fictionalized look behind the scenes of Nosferatu, The Diet Symphony (1922).
