Originally set for a series commitment with CBS in 2020, it was canceled before filming the first episode due to COVID. . This is now Mickey Haller’s second book “The Brass Verdict” on Netflix.

Mickey Haller owns several cars, all with custom California license plates with legal terms. Custom plates in California allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey’s plates have a minimum of eight.. A rehab lawyer with a daughter by two ex-wives and a passion for cars is thrust into a high-profile case after the death of a friend.

This is complete with more practice and side cases than he can handle. The show takes this, adds a strong cast, well-crafted and delivered dialogues and an interesting story, and is well paced. Some of the cinematography options are odd, especially the zoom shots and some orange-tinted shots, but overall it works.
It’s engaging, entertaining and enjoyable throughout – highly recommended
need Mickey’s chauffeur, Izzy is often used as a plot clarification device, but despite being obvious, it feels natural and consistent with the storytelling.
